Max Papart : (1911-1994) is a french-american painter and collagist. Born in Marseille, he briefly went to the Fine-Arts School of the city. In 1936, he settled in Paris and began to exhibit his works . He illustrated Jacques Prévert and Georges Ribemont-Dessaignes' bibliophilia works. His style could be consider post-cubist. Lithographer, engraver, painter, he often uses mixt techniques and collage. He also teaches printing at University. Some Papart works are exhibited at the Indianapolis Museum of Art (USA), at The National Center of arts ("Centre national des arts plastiques" (France)) or at The Michel Fedoroff Collection (Monaco).
