Chaissac gives some news and comments on it: "Dear Madam, Here we go taunting De Gaulle as we taunted Richelieu by fighting a duel under his windows. But the art of today remains nonetheless exhibited at the Robin Gallery and the Tour de Feu is preparing an issue on Antonin Artaud and soliciting opinions on this great poet; we hope that Marcel Charlot will send his own. The magazine Terre de Feu was treated as a rag, proof that it is anything but and in Jarnac en Charente it is delivered by post by the postman of the P.T.T. whose uncles and aunts from Vendée are in Sainte Florence and Essarts. The anarchists seem to have multiplied singularly yet if our laws and morals are not quite recent, the driving code for example is a sufficiently rational regulation to limit traffic accidents. I continue to paint on corrugated cardboard sitting in the attic at the top of the miller's ladder and I will need the money to have my paintings smoothed on paper and to have my harmonium improvisations recorded. On the same page as my poem in the last Elan poétique (Linselles nord) I saw that the dustbin takes its name from the police prefect Poubelle who imposed it in Paris where grateful Parisians baptized it in a friendly manner.
