Emilio Grau-Sala : (1911-1975) is a painter, decorator and catalan illustrator born in Barcelona in 1911. After his studies at Barcelona School of Fine-Arts, he settled in Paris in 1932. The artist exhibited in prestigious salons and joined the Maurice Boitel's group in the "Salon Comparaisons". He realized many exhibitions across the world, Barcelona, Paris, Madrid, London, Buenos Aires, New-York. Yet sensibly marked by impressionism his works show a very personal and unique style. Grau Sala also illustrated several litterary works such as Baudelaire's "Les Fleurs du mal", Flaubert's "Madame Bovary", Maupassant's "Bel-Ami", or Proust's "À la recherche du temps perdu". He created as well costumes and sets (restaurants, liners, theaters). He died in Barcelona in 1975.
