Condition: In fair condition, with some notable creases. Several minor stains in the margins and on the image, with some small defects (light folds and tiny tears) at the edges. Printed on the back as published.

Cover of April the 29th, 1899 special-issue "Le Monde Illustré" (n° 2196), a newsweekly magazine published from 1857 to 1956.

The review dedicated some special issues to Art Nouveau, with some notable use of colors in comparison to the traditional monochromic editions.

This cover refers to the 1899 Salons, known as the famous annual exhibition of French artists in Paris.
