Famous shot of the handshake between Hemingway and Castro during the presentation of the Hemingway fishing trophy on May 15, 1960. Photo taken by Alberto Korda, official photographer of Fidel Castro, world famous for having immortalized Che Guevara on March 5, 1960, portrait that went around the world "Guerillero Heroico". The young Fidel Castro, who had just taken power in Cuba in January 1959, won the competition. The presentation of the trophy by Hemingway was the one and only time the two men met.
