This is a poster project for which Yves Saint-Laurent also provided the scenery for the ballet Musique de Foire created in 1955, the date of his entry into the haute couture house Christian Dior. The
piece is performed in three acts, the first performance took place in March 1956 at the Ballets de Monte Carlo.

Some of these set drawings are today kept at the Yves Saint-Laurent Foundation Museum in Paris.

Provenance: Collection of Marcelle Lloret, former director of the Red Cross in Oran, aunt of the current owner, friend of the Saint-Laurent family in Oran (Algeria).
