Beautiful and very rare drawing of the famous adventurer wearing a desert man's turban around his head.

Provenance: private collection, acquired during the comic book show at the Maison de la Mutualité Paris 5th.

Hugo Pratt : Born in Rimini in Italy in 1927 and dead in Pully (Switzerland) in 1995, Hugo Eugenio Pratt is an italian comic book author. His most famous work is Corto Maltese (1967-1991), which has largely gone beyond the comic book field. Pratt recieved many prizes : The Prize Yellow Kid of the best comic book at Lucques international congress in 1970; The Phénix of the best comic book adventure for Corto Maltese in 1971; The Saint-Michel Prize for the best realistic scenario for The Desert scorpions in 1974; The Prize of the best realistic foreign work for The Ballade of the salt sea at the 3rd Angoulême festival in 1976; The Great Special Prize 15th anniversary at Angoulême festival in 1988; The Great national Prize of graphic arts in 1988. And received posthumously the Prize Max and Moritz of the best comic book translated in german for Saint-Exupéry in 1996, The "Temple de la renommée Will Eisner" in 2005, and the Prize Eisner of the best american edition of an international work for An Indian Summer (with Milo Manara) in 2012.
