Raymond Cauchetier (1920-2021) is the great photographer of the New Wave, active on film sets between 1959 and 1968, documenting the films of Jean-Luc Godard, Truffaut or Demy.
His images are not photograms but "off-screen" moments, which have become works of art in their own right.
