FIRST EDITION of this rarely seen periodical.

+Size of the sheet: 31 x 20,5 cm / 12,2 x 8 in.
+Size of the image: 27 x 16 cm / 10,6 x 6,2 in.

Condition: In fair/good condition, with soft handling creases at the edges and some small folds on the corners. Some minor stains and light discoloration in the margins. Image clean otherwise.

Issued from the very rare and famous set "Die Fläche, Dekorative Entwürfe Neue Folge", Bound II.

Next to the journal 'Ver Sacrum' ('Sacred Spring'), 'Die Fläche' is one of the most beautiful collections of designs by the artists of the 'Wiener Werkstätte', and the Viennese artist active during the turn of the century, such as Max Benirschke, Johanna Hollmann, Moritz Jung, Gustav Klimt, Minka Podhajska, Rosa Wachsmann, Franz von Zülow and many others.

'Die Fläche' (literally, 'The surface'), produced in portfolio form, was formulated as a 'Musterbuch,' or pattern book, of graphic insignia and poster designs, including posters, book designs (including dust jackets and endpapers), advertisements, wallpapers, textiles and many more.
