Guillaume Monin (1908 - 1978). After studying at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Paris, he exhibited, following the advice of his godfather Jean Cocteau, at the Colle gallery in March 1937. It was a huge success that enabled him to make valuable contacts in the world of art, including Louis Jouvet and Christian Bérard, who gave him the opportunity to create sets for the theatre. Thus, he collaborated with Jean Giraudoux for the plays of Electre and La Guerre de Troie n'aura pas lieu, Jean Cocteau for Œdipe Roi and Les parents terribles, without forgetting the cinema. In 1945, he took part in the Petit Théâtre de la Mode, alongside Christian Bérard, an international exhibition aimed at reviving French Haute-Couture. At the same time, he illustrates books. From 1958, he devoted himself to the decoration of exceptional apartments, such as that of Marie-Hélène de Rothschild, while continuing to paint.

Sonia Delaunay : (1885-1979) was a Russian-born French artist, who is one of the most important female artists of the XXth century. She spent most of her working life in Paris and, with her husband Robert Delaunay and others, cofounded the Orphism art movement, noted for its use of strong colours and geometric shapes. Her work extends to painting, textile design and stage set design. She was the first living female artist to have a retrospective exhibition at the Louvre in 1964, and in 1975 was named an officer of the French Legion of Honor. Her work in modern design included the concepts of geometric abstraction, the integration of furniture, fabrics, wall coverings, and clothing.
