This rare plate was offered to the subscribers of the French Art issue "La Plume" (n° 261) in its Deluxe edition in 1900.

Signed on the plate lower right margin, with Eugène Grasset's monogram.

Dimensions:
+ Size of the sheet: 25 x 18 cm / 9,8 x 7 in.
+ Size of the image: 19,5 x 13,5 cm / 7,6 x 5,3 in.

Condition: In overall good condition, with some soft handling creases, some minor stains, and some slight discoloration at the edges. Image very clean otherwise, with bright and vivid colors.

"La Plume" was an artistic and literary issue, created by Léon Maillard and Léon Deschamps in 1889 and aimed at young artists and writers. Published from April 1889 to January 1914, this magazine aimed to promote any artistic talents, as highlighted by its motto, "Pour l'Art !" ("For the Art!").

Numerous artists illustrated the issue, such as Alphonse Mucha, Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec, or else Eugène Grasset.
