Camille Pissarro : Born in 1830, in Saint Thomas Islands (Antilles), Camille Pissarro was a painter of the french school. He came in Paris in 1855 and met Corot. At the Suisse academy he became friends with Claude Monet in 1859 then Cézanne and Guillaumin two years later. He shared the researchs of his friends impressionists but was distinguished by showing a predilection for pastoral themes and a great care in the execution and composition. Seduced by Seurat's work, Pissarro joined divisionism a short moment. His last period was characterized by strict impressionism. The artist died in Paris in 1903.
