Anton Büschelberger : (1869-1934) was a german animal sculpture. He came from a family of artists, as his father (Georg Friedrich Christian) was also a sculptor. Anton Büschelberger moved to the artistic metropole of Munich, where he studies at the Academy of arts. He then settled in Dresden, where he married Anna Seibt in 1899. He had four children, among which Friedrich Büschelberger, who followed the path of his father. He was mainly an animal sculptor, making realistic bronze casts. He drew inspiration notably from the Dresden Zoo where he would draw often in his sketchbooks. He collaborated for several years with the porcelain manufacture of Karl Enz in Rudolstadt-Volkstedt, Thuringe. His works are regularly put at auction in german art sales around the worls. His grave can be found at the Johannisfriedhof Cemetery in Dresden.
