Rare and impressive portrait of Prime Minister Fidel Castro, giving his very first speech in Havana to a million Cubans on September 2, 1960. Corrales liked to say that he was the only photographer to have had the nerve that day to ask two ministers to move their chairs in front of his lens in order to capture the captivating image of Fidel Castro facing this human ocean. This photograph of Corrales was used, at the request of Castro, to illustrate the 10 Cuban peso banknote, unique in Cuban history.
