Tsuka in shagreen, menuki of rearing horses, kashira and fuchi decorated with golden branches, mekugi bamboo, beautiful blade with tiny traces of impact sharpening towards the tip
20cm Kozuka with engraved handle.

Black lacquered Saya with some lacquer losses. Kojiri decorated with twigs.

Overall length: 33 cm

Edo : (1603 – 1868). Sometimes refered as Tokugawa period, is the period of the Tokugawa shogunate.The period came to an end with the Meiji Restoration in 1868. The period is named after the name of the capital of the shogunate, nowdays Tokyo
