The bas relief, depicted the Original Sin, comes from an artwork of the Master Salvador Dalì and it was realized by the artisans of the Istituto Grafico Italiano with the technique of transference from the flat figure to the relief. The subject is put in a galvanic plating, first in silver later in gold. Finally it is hand colored by the IGI’s artisans. The artwork represents the original sin: Eve in on the "tree of the knowledge of good and evil", of which the fruits were prohibited to the ancestors. Curl up on the tree, there is the tempting snake, while Eve gives the apple to Adam. The Garden of Eden by Dalì is caracterized by typicall elements of his surrealistic style, like the lines bringing our gaze towards a single vanishing point, or the animal with teeny paws (ricorrental figure in his artworks). The low relief is signed in plate lower left and numbered 136/499
