Lithograph after original drawing of Edvard Munch he realized for the creation of his most famous lithography: "The Scream"
It remains to this day one of the most expensive in the world. Some hand-raised copies can reach several million Euros.
We propose it for the first time in the world in reissue.

In 1895, the first prints of this lithograph were printed in Berlin in black & white.
Although the practice of color was experienced in large Parisian lithography workshops, it was used very little in Germany. Munch has therefore in a first time, presented The Scream in black and white on which he later added different combinations of colors by hand.
He transformed his prints into unique works of art comparable to his paintings.

When we embarked on this re-release project, nothing was left to chance.
With our know-how and experience, we used drawing and printing techniques that are exactly the same as those used by Munch.
(Stone drawing, color-by-color printing on lithographic press of the early 20th century).
As in 1895, the colorized version was entirely hand-made thus making each copy of this unique lithograph (Each color and location were meticulously studied in order to "merge" with the original work).
