The Death Knight is one of the four Horsemen of the Apocalypse that, as the Evangelist John says, would come in after the opening of the seven seals by the Lamb. Dalì represents the Death riding
a
horse with a greenish color, which is reminiscent of rotting corpses. The body features of the knights look like those present in the collective imagination - skeleton body, hand that wields a
large
scythe.
