This work was printed in 1949 by School Prints Ltd, London, on the original draft Brenda Rawnsley wrote that: 'We are producing a series of auto-lithographs for use in schools, as a means of helping
school children in understanding contemporary art. '
It was the period of post Great War and lithographs were meant to express feelings of celebration, joy and safety, thanks to lyrical and accessible subjects.
