Description

With his paws on an openwork ball and his mouth open, the shi-shi depicted here represents the male Yang principle.

Very nice work done by the carver on the openwork ball, hollowed out with great precision.

The expression of the shi-shi and the details of the mane and fur are very well rendered.

Himotoshi under the base, Inlaid eyes or painted ?
