Auguste Rodin : Auguste Rodin (1840-1917), is one of the greatest french sculptors of the second half of the 19th century, considered as one of the fathers of moderne sculpture. He is credited with revolutionizing sculpture by a previously unknown freedom of form. His most famous works are "The thinker", the Monument to the writer Balzac, The "Bourgeois de Calais" (Burghers of Calais). A museum is dedicated to him in Paris. His works are exhibited in the world's greatest museum. He also was an amazing draughtsman and engraver.
Stencil : The stencil is a printing technique made using a cover (in zinc for example) that prevents paint or ink from flowing. The stencil is then applied to the printed proof by etching, lithography, screen printing or phototyping. Many stencils must be traced and cut to obtain an accurate reproduction of the work.
