Albumen print glued on cardboard, wetting at the bottom right, traces of sticking and newspaper residues on the back. 23x18.5 cm. Portrait accompanied by a rare autograph dedication signed by Disdéri to the writer Andrés Avelino de Orihuela dated 1864.

Photographer: Eugène Disdéri (1819 - 1889) contributes to the popularization and development of photography by developing a multi-lens camera allowing several poses to be performed simultaneously on the same negative during the same session, and by creating the Visiting card photo in 1854.

Andrés Avelino de Orihuela (1818 - 1873), Spanish writer emigrated very early to Cuba, graduated in law. He collaborated on articles published by the Economic Society of Friends of Paris in 1842. Republican conviction, he was forced into exile in Paris in 1868. He died in Madrid in 1873.
