The Ti-wara, Ci wara, in african art is supposed to be a animal - genie called Ciwara that would have tought the Bambara to cultivate land. The latter recall this myth with the stylized representation of a hippotragus antilope, named Ciwara meaning "Earth's wildcat"

Bambara : Bambara people (or Bamana) are a West Africa people living mainly in Mali.
