Cambodia - Great Khmer Buddha, historical collection of a 19th century French statesman and archaeologist

Cambodia

Seated Buddha in post-Khmer style (after the abandonment of Angkor), from the collection of Jean Moura (1827/1885), a 19th century celebrity.

Former Director of the French Protectorate in Cambodia from 1868 to 1879, he was also a Marine officer, archaeologist and literary man. He published "The Kingdom of Cambodia" in 1882, a two-volume
