Vincent Manago (1880–1936) is a french painter, in the orientalist style. Born in Toulon, he studied at the Julian Académie in Paris, where he was trained by Jean-Paul Laurens. He was a very popular painter in Marseille between 1900 et 1913, where he exhibited especially at the Foire internationale de Marseille and at the Exposition Coloniale des Paysages d'Afrique et de Provence. He was specialized in lanscapes, seascapes, genre paintings of coasts (Martigues, La Rochelle, Venise), and orientalist paintings. He is known for using very vivid colours for his paintins. Just as a lot of orientalists artists were doing, he got his inspirations from postcards, but also from what he had seen in Tunisia. Vincent Manago lived in Paris until his death on June 30th, 1936.
