Screen print : Screen printing, also known as silkscreen, serigraphy, and serigraph printing - from latin "Sericum (silk) and greek "grapheion" (writing) - is a printing technique that uses a woven mesh to support an ink-blocking stencil to receive a desired image. The attached stencil forms open areas of mesh that transfer ink or other printable materials which can be pressed through the mesh as a sharp-edged image into a substrate. It is possible to use different meshes, for different colors, and create multi-colored works. In the field of art, it is important to know how many prints have been made. The total number of prints is usually written on the print (e.g 20/200).
Cleon Peterson : was born in 1973 in Seattle. He grows up in a family setting, encourages creation. Asthmatic during his drawing practice during his many hospitalizations. Later, when he lives in New York, he rests in drugs and makes some passages in prison and psychiatric hospital. It is this experience that the artist nourishes his work today. Urban violence, ghettos and the tension that reigns at the heart of his works. "I do not speak of what the world did not necessarily live, but it exists, it is there outside. There is a kind of primary life that goes with this misery, that's what I try to address in my paintings, "confides the artist, apart from any moral judgment. In parallel with his work as a painter, Cleon Peterson is a well-known graphic designer in the skateboarding world. In 1998, he joined the Californian team of assistants Shepard Fairey. In 2009, he received his first solo exhibition in Los Angeles and has continued to multiply his projects since. In 2014, he made a 50-meter fresco at the Palais de Tokyo.
