Robert Vernet-Bonfort : (1934-) is a french painter and lithographer. Originally from Marseille, he attended courses of the Beaux-Arts between 1948 and 1957. Suffering from deafness following a childhood illness, he took refuge in his paintings. He trained himself thanks to the study of old and contemporary masters, and developped his own figurative style. Since 1975, he exhibited in France, in Luxembourg, in Switzerland, in the USA, in Monaco, in Great Britain, and also in Canada. He received in 1957 the Caverie Award, in 1963 the Dorothy Gould Award, and in 1965 the Elisabeth T. Greenshield Foundation Grand Prize.
