Chu Teh-Chun :
(1920-2014) born in 1920 in Baitou Zhen (China), Chu Teh-Chun was a contemporary painter, settled in France since 1955. Along with Zao Wou Ki, and Wu Guanzhong, he was dubbed one of the "three musketters" of modernist chinese artists. Using traditional chinese lanscape painting techniques, and abstraction, he built his own personal style in the field of abstract landscapes. He was a member of the Institut (Académie des beaux-arts) since 1997, and was its first representative of Chinese origin. In November 2013, one of his oils on canvas dated from 1963 was sold at auction for $9,1 millions in Hong kong.
