India 19th century Bronze statuette representing Lakshmi Bronze statuette depicting Lakshmi once holding a cup (diya) that served as an oil lamp (Paavai Vilakku). She is richly adorned: bracelets on her arms, wrists and ankles, necklaces, diadem and large earrings. She is dressed in a simple skirt reaching down to her calves, the upper body bare with a generous chest. Two peacocks take their place on each shoulder.
