Fernando Botero :
Born in 1932 in Medellín, Luis Fernando Botero Angulo is a colombian watercolourist and sculptor reputed for his characters with round and voluptouse shapes. He is considered as the most recognized living artist from America Latina. His carreer began in 1958, when he won the 1st price of The Salon of the Colombian artists (Salón de Artistas Colombianos). His many trips in US and Europe, allow him to develop his own style which expressed itself through his paintings, drawings, as in his sculptures. His work is mostly inspired by pre-colombian art, popular art and mexican painting (Rivera, Orozco et Alfaro Siqueiros) then spanish (Vélasquez and Goya). Botero lives and works now between Paris, New York and Pietrasanta (Toscane) with his wife also an artist. Il realized many exhibitions through the world:
