The work of Gruau is infinitely rich.
This franco-italian artist (1909-2004), active since 1930, encounters true success after the Second World War by working with Dior, Harper's Bazaar and Vogue as a fashion illustrator. Later on, he
also did illustrationsfor the Lido and the Moulin Rouge. The publicity drawings for Rouge Baiser have marked memories, but Gruau has also signed several advertisements for perfumes and cosmetics by
Balmain, Jacques Griffe, Lucien Lelong, Jacques Fath, Elizabeth Arden, Payot, Peggy Sage, Givenchy.
