Its founder, Eric Turquin, attended the Ecole du Louvre and got a private Law Master. In 1977 he passed the french professional exam to become an auctioneer. From 1977 to 1979, he worked at Paul Touzet, then one of the three parisian experts in old paintings. He then worked for Sotheby's London from 1979 to 1987 as a catalogueur and then as an expert in old paintings. From 1985 to 1987, he directed the Department of Old Master paintings. Since 1987, he is established in Paris as an independant expert. Member of the French Syndicate of Professionnal Experts, he works now for most of the biggest auction houses in Paris and elsewhere in France, as an expert in old masters paintings.
