Jesús-Rafael Soto :
(1923-2005) is a french painter and sculptor, of venezualian origins. He is famous for his mobile works, which characterize Op'Art and Cinetic Art. In 1963, he won the "Lobo" award at the São Paulo Biennale. The year after, he received the second prize of D. Bright at the Venice Biennale.
His works can be seen in the biggest museums in the world (MOMA, Tate, Pompidou...). In 1973 he founded "el Museo de Arte Moderno Jesús Soto" in Ciudad Bolívar, Venezuela, exhibiting works of his own collection. His name is very much associated to the Galerie Denise René.
