Additional Information: Numbered out of 150 in pencil and Signed in crayon by Monory. The Roland Garros French Open tournament has recruited notable artists since 1981 - when Eduardo Arroyo created series of pictures that remains the favorite for many. These posters have not only always been more artistic than those of the US and Australian Open, but have also always expressed a more creative, quirky, eccentric and outlandish take on the event.

Monory used the three primary colors, applied vigorously from top to bottom. On his canvas - in which certain fans of 1970s tennis will recognize the silhouette and fingers of former player Zeljko Franulovic, who is today the director of the Rolex Monte-Carlo Masters - the painter deliberately opted for Vegas-style spotlight lettering.
