China, Tang Dynasty (618-907) - Horse with TL test. N°2
Mingqi in terracotta representing a white horse at a standstill, mouth slightly open, with a draped saddle.
Grey terracotta with white slip and orange well preserved pigments.
37 cm height, excellent condition, no visible restorations.
The details of his anatomy are very well rendered, as well through original sculpture than colour.

A thermoluminescence certificate from Ralf Kotalla in three points confirms the Tang datation.
