Sergey Shcherbakov : was born in 1959 in Saratov. He graduated from the Saratov art school, then the Leningrad higher industrial art school named after V. I. Mukhina ( now the Stieglitz Art and industrial Academy). Saint-Petersburg). Since 1987, he has lived in Volzhsky, a satellite city of Volgograd ( formerly Stalingrad). He is the author of several dozen monuments in Russia, as well as monuments in London( 1999) and Berlin(2001), dedicated to the victims of world war II. His works are in the Tretyakov gallery in Moscow, the Moscow Museum of modern art, the Saratov art Museum, the Volgograd Museum of fine arts, the Imperial war Museum in London, as well as in major private collections in the UK, France, Germany, Spain, and Russia. His work "the Queen" was presented in 1999 to the Queen mother on her 99th birthday. Over the years he created about 400 works, all in a single copy.
