Netsuke representing Enma-o, end
Emma-Ô, king of the Japanese hell, is depicted here seated and eating.
He is easily recognizable by his characteristic Chinese judge hat, with the letter "ô" on the front.
The netsuke is very well executed, with nice realistic details (letters on the jar, patterns of the dress, eyes rendering).
Signed Meî-Saî on the underside of the jar.
