Félix Agostini, original "Quadrige" coffee table in gilt bronze, made around 1960 Signed "F.Agostini" 140 x 70 x 41cm Félix Agostini (1910-1980) was a famous Parisian designer of the 60s and 70s. His collaborations with Alberto and Diego Giacometti influenced his styles, from the textures of his bronze to lean silhouettes he created. He hoisted his flag very high in the landscape of the 20th century, with the abstract, stylized and surreal seal of his lamps and sculptures. Tribute to the world of horse, the "Quadrige" coffee table is one of Félix Agostini's most sculptural creations. It features an X-brace consisting of four straps and a central ring representing a horse bit, in an abstract way. It probably inspired the table that Giovanni Banci made for Hermès in the 70s.
