The work of Gruau is infinitely rich.
This franco-italian artist (1909-2004), active since 1930, knew real success after the Second World War by working with Dior, Harper's Bazaar and Vogue as a fashion illustrator. Later he also drew for the Lido and Moulin Rouge. The advertising drawings for Rouge Baiser have durably marked memories but Gruau also signed several advertising posters for the perfumes and cosmetics Balmain, Jacques Griffe, Lucien Lelong, Jacques Fath, Elizabeth Arden, Payot, Peggy Sage, Givenchy.
