Superb study from this sculptor, who is known for his many sculptures at the Eglise St Jean in Montmartre

Arthur Guéniot : (1866-1951) studied at the Ecole des beaux-arts of Clermont-Ferrand, and then at the École des beaux-arts de Paris in the studio of Gustave Moreau and Delorme. Officer of the Académie in 1911 and chevalier of the order of Cambodia, il was nominated chevalier of the Légion d'honneur in 1929. He was a member of the Société des artistes français and received a medal of honour at the 1902 Salon, a bronze medal in 1920, a silver medal in 1925, and a gold medal, "hors-concours", in 1927. A place in Bournezeau bears his name since 2008, as well as a street in Dinan since 2009.
