Wooden marionnette head, eyes are inlaid with mother of pearl. His face is painted with a mix of fish bile and tamarin resin.

In the Yok Thei Pwe theater, this head is that of Minthanee, the famous princess recognisable by her face and hairstyle.

Dimensions with pedestal : 31 x 9 x 8.5 cm
Dimensions without pedestal : 14 x 10 x 9 cm

Provenance : Private Belgian collection, acquired in Burma near the temples of Kuthodaw by the actual owner's father before 1990.
