Rare and superb round miniature painted on stretched paper, representing Maréchal Moncey, the Duke of Conegliano, in profile.

This miniature comes from the JULIO LOBO collection (N ° 201), bears a stamp on the back, with a stamp from the central customs.
Gilded wood frame.

Full miniature dimensions: Diameter 18 cm

Julio Lobo y Olavarria (CUBA 30 October 1898 / MADRID 30 January 1983) was a powerful financier and trader of Cuban sugar.

A renowned art connoisseur, Lobo also acquired the largest collection of Napoleonic souvenirs outside France (the collection is found today in Havana in the former home of Ferrara Oreste, at the
Museo Napoleonico).
